Institutional, Commercial and Financing

Works to identify, plan, and carry out technical assistance and validation and quality assurance systems in operation and under construction projects



Objectives

  • Alliances institutional, commercial and financial interest groups;
  • Promote the inclusion of public policies that promote the development of SIT and BRT systems in the agendas of governments;
  • Negotiation of conditions of funding to facilitate the deployment of Integrated Systems and BRT.

The Institutional, Commercial and Financing area role is to coordinate the organization, implementation and maintenance of a database of agents (stakeholders) involved, interested and influential in the BRT and SIT in a local, national and regional levels.

Also, part of its scope to identify and propose institutional alliances, trade and financial systems for strengthening the position of members of industry and SIBRT, BRT and SIT.

Another important function is to promote the development of public policies and institutional and financial mechanisms at local, national and regional levels to enable the strengthening and dissemination of BRT and SIT in Latin America.

This area seeks to identify, plan and carry out technical assistance and validation and quality assurance systems in operation and under construction projects both in the region and worldwide, with the participation of researchers and academic centers of prestige.

Another focus is to define criteria and provide technical analysis with respect to the evaluation of investment projects within the urban public transport in cities in Latin America. It helps to continue the timely fulfillment of quota payments of membership by the members and ensure the balance and financial health of the Association.

The Institutional, Commercial and Financing area also conducts campaigns to raise funds for the operation of the Association, identifies and promotes the adhesion of sponsors, as well as their participation in the activities of the Association. Finally, the institutional form supports the creation and establishment of bodies with similar purposes in other parts of the world.
