Strategic Alliances

SIBRT’s main objective is to contribute to the improvement of massive and collective urban transportation systems, improving our cities’ competiveness, as well as the quality of life and health of its inhabitants.

In order to achieve this goal, the Association is convening the most innovative and socially responsible private enterprises to form part of a great strategic alliance for the general renewal of Latin American transportation with ITS and BRT at its core. Thus, we are inviting your firm to become permanent strategic ally of SIBRT.

SIBRT’s associates work in 19 cities in 8 countries, providing high quality services to more than 20 million users per day, throughout more than 700 kilometers  of exclusive lines and integrated systems. The Association is a medium to accelerate the implementation of modern bus transportation systems (ITS and BRTs).

The 242 Latin American cities with populations of more than 250,000 inhabitants (altogether adding up to 370 million inhabitants, approximately). Over the next two decades, these cities will demand approximately US$ 27 billion in public investment in infrastructure (in order to build 5,400 kilometers of additional BRT corridors) and US$ 70 billion in private investment to renew the transportation fleet.

This effort requires the generation and alignment of multiple resources and will to craft a vision, garner political support, and to structure institutional, entrepreneurial and technical capabilities.

Within this framework, SIBRT is developing the following four strategies: Benchmarking and InnovationCollaboration with providers, Academic, commercial, political and financial Alliances, Communications and Image.

The annual investment of SIBRT’s strategic allies would be based on the revenue level of each firm, based on the following criteria:

Why would you become a SIBRT Strategic Ally?

In exchange for this investment, each strategic ally’s logo will be included in the webpage of the association (www.sibrtonline.org), becoming a reference for each of the new projects and expansions that will be implemented in the region by associates.
